The wet limestone-gypsum flue gas desulfurization (FGD) process and the dry calcium injection desulfurization technology inside the boiler are currently widely used technologies for controlling sulfur dioxide emissions. Whether it is post-combustion flue gas wet desulfurization or in-boiler dry calcium injection desulfurization, the medium that absorbs sulfur dioxide is limestone powder. The particle size of limestone powder is one of the important factors affecting the desulfurization efficiency. Limestone powder with a suitable particle size distribution is conducive to the absorption of sulfur dioxide.

The process flow of limestone powder production
The first stage – Raw material conveying stage:
The raw material limestone is unloaded from the forklift or delivery truck into the feeding hopper, and then falls into the belt conveyor for transportation to the hoist. The hoist lifts the material to the limestone storage bin, which helps to evenly feed the material.
The second stage – Grinding and selection stage:
The raw material falls from the storage bin onto the weighing belt conveyor, and after being iron-removed by a self-unloading iron remover, enters the European version mill for grinding. After grinding, the material is sorted by the classifier under the action of air flow, and the qualified product is collected and stored temporarily by the cyclone collector.
The third stage – Finished product storage and transportation stage:
The finished product powder, temporarily stored by the cyclone collector, is transported by the conveying equipment and hoist to the finished product warehouse for storage and reserve, in order to meet the subsequent tank truck loading.
